What we handle
Austrian Weddings is a wedding photography and wedding film outfit based in Salzburg. We cover the whole of Austria — the lake country, Hallstatt, Tyrol, Carinthia, Vienna and the Styrian south — and cross the border regularly into South Tyrol, the Dolomites and Bavaria. The people behind it have been filming and photographing in this country since 2000, most of that time on commercial work; the wedding side is what this site is for.
We are deliberately built as two separate crafts rather than one person doing both. Photography is one person for the whole day. Film is another. Nobody switches between a stills body and a cinema camera and misses the moment in between, and nobody doubles up on a job that only needs one pair of hands. You book one discipline or you book both, and the two prices add rather than bundle, because it is genuinely two people working a full day.

How we work, and why
Prices in public
Almost nobody in this market publishes a number. We publish all of them, including what the rest of the Austrian market charges, because you should be able to work out whether we fit your budget without sending an enquiry and waiting two days for a PDF.
A roster, not a sole trader
We work with a network of photographers and filmmakers across Austria. If somebody falls ill on a wedding day, cover comes from that network at the same agreed price and the same house style. A sole trader who is ill on your date has nobody to send.
One look, end to end
Every frame and every cut is graded by hand to a single palette, so the gallery and the film read as one piece rather than two suppliers who happened to be at the same wedding.
We stay out of the day
Unposed, quiet, and planned around the light rather than around a shot list. The one part of a wedding timeline that is genuinely negotiable is when the portraits happen, and that is the only part we push on.

Salzburg. We regularly work anywhere in Austria — Vienna is about 300 kilometre each way, Tyrol about 180 — and cross into South Tyrol, the Dolomites and Bavaria. Travel is 0.50 euro per kilometre driven from Salzburg and quoted with your collection, so there is no vague surcharge at the end.
Both, as two separate products with two separate people. Book one and you pay for one. Book both and you get two specialists and both prices — a full day of photography and film is 2,490 plus 2,490 euro.
Yes. Roughly half the couples who book us are travelling to Austria to marry and plan the whole thing in English. The entire site, the enquiry form and the contracts exist in both languages.
