What a wedding photographer costs for an Upper Austria wedding.

The same collections as the rest of our coverage area, with travel priced for a province that runs from the Salzkammergut lakes to Linz.

A wedding photographer for Upper Austria costs the same collections we quote everywhere: 1,490 euro for a half day, 2,490 for a full day, 3,990 for twelve hours. No VAT is added. Travel is the number that shifts, and Upper Austria is a large enough province that it varies more within the region than most of the others we cover.

The part of Upper Austria closest to Salzburg is the Salzkammergut lake district — Mondsee, Attersee, Traunsee and the Upper Austrian side of the Wolfgangsee around St. Wolfgang and Strobl — which sits within an hour or so of our base. Gmunden and Bad Ischl extend that same lake landscape a little further east. Linz, the provincial capital, is further out again, closer to two hours' drive. The 130 euro travel figure quoted below is calculated for the actual distance to wherever the wedding is, not a single average point, so a Mondsee wedding costs less to reach than one near Linz.

Our prices

Photography and film are two different people and two separate prices. Book one and you pay for one. Book both and the two add together — there is no bundle discount, because it is genuinely two people working a full day.

130 km each way · 0,50 EUR/km

Upper Austria's quoted travel figure of 130 euro reflects a representative point in the province, about 130 km one-way — closer for the Salzkammergut lakes near the Salzburg border, further for Linz. We calculate the actual round-trip kilometres for your venue at 0.50 euro per kilometre, so the real number in your quote may differ from this.

These are final prices. No VAT is added — this is a registered Austrian small business (Kleinunternehmer, §6 Abs 1 Z 27 UStG).

Weddings in Upper Austria

Most of the weddings we shoot in Upper Austria are lakeside — a boat or lakeshore ceremony on the Attersee or Mondsee, with the mountains behind rather than underfoot, which is a different look from the high-alpine weddings we shoot further south in Salzburg province. Gmunden's lakefront and the Traunstein behind it is a recurring backdrop. Because this region borders Salzburg directly along the lakes, the travel cost stays low for that stretch even though it climbs the further east you go toward Linz.

Cost questions, answered

The same collections as everywhere we shoot: 1,490 euro for a half day, 2,490 for a full day, 3,990 for twelve hours. No VAT is added. Travel is calculated for your actual venue at 0.50 euro per kilometre — around 130 euro is typical, less near the Salzkammergut lakes, more toward Linz.

Because it's a large province. The Salzkammergut lakes near the Salzburg border are under an hour away; Linz is closer to two hours. We quote the actual round-trip distance to your venue rather than a flat regional number, so it pays to tell us the exact location early.

Yes — lakeside ceremonies and boat arrivals are common here, and the flat lakeshore light is a genuinely different look from a mountain wedding, softer and more open. We plan around the ferry or boat schedules where a water arrival is part of the day.

Yes, July and August weekends are the busiest dates in the lake district, with both wedding and tourist traffic around Mondsee and St. Wolfgang. Booking nine to fourteen months ahead matters more here than in quieter valleys, and a weekday date is easier to secure at short notice.
