What a wedding photographer costs in Salzburg, our home base.

This is where we live and work, so the price you see here is the price with nothing added for distance.

A wedding photographer in Salzburg costs 1,490 euro for a half day, 2,490 for a full day, or 3,990 for twelve hours, the same collections we quote everywhere in Austria. Photography and film are two separate people and two separate prices, so a full day booking both comes to 4,980 euro. Because Salzburg is our base, there is nothing to add for travel here — every euro in the number above is what you pay.

Salzburg is also where most of our couples end up shooting portraits, whether or not the ceremony itself happens here: the Altstadt is a UNESCO World Heritage old town, and the Salzkammergut lake district — Wolfgangsee, Mondsee, Fuschlsee — starts within about half an hour of the city. The one date to plan around is the Salzburg Festival in July and August, when the Altstadt fills with concertgoers and parking near Mirabell Gardens or the fortress gets genuinely difficult; couples marrying in that window should expect us to plan the timeline around festival crowds rather than the usual empty-street mornings.

Our prices

Photography and film are two different people and two separate prices. Book one and you pay for one. Book both and the two add together — there is no bundle discount, because it is genuinely two people working a full day.

There is no travel figure for Salzburg — we are based here, so the day rate is the whole number. Everywhere else in Austria, travel is 0.50 euro per kilometre driven from this base, billed on the actual round trip.

These are final prices. No VAT is added — this is a registered Austrian small business (Kleinunternehmer, §6 Abs 1 Z 27 UStG).

Weddings in Salzburg

Salzburg couples we work with split fairly evenly between an Altstadt ceremony near the Dom or Mirabell Palace and a lake wedding out in the Salzkammergut — Wolfgangsee and Mondsee are the two we see booked most. Summer Saturdays during the Festival period are the tightest dates on our calendar because the city itself is at its busiest then; a June or September date gets you the same light with far less foot traffic in the background.

Cost questions, answered

The same collections we quote everywhere: 1,490 euro for a half day, 2,490 for a full day, 3,990 for twelve hours, plus VAT. Salzburg is our base, so there is no travel figure to add here, unlike everywhere else we cover.

No. We are based in Salzburg, so there is no travel figure for weddings here — the price you see is the full price.

It affects availability more than price. The Salzburg Festival runs through July and August, the city is busiest then, and Altstadt ceremony dates in that window get booked earliest. The rate card does not change, but you should book further ahead for a Festival-season Saturday.

Both work well and cost the same on our side. The Altstadt gives you the old town backdrop and short travel between ceremony and reception; the Salzkammergut lakes — Wolfgangsee and Mondsee especially — give you more space and quieter portrait time, at the cost of a longer drive for your guests.
