The collections are the same as everywhere we work — what changes here is the drive through Bavaria and the fact that many venues sit above the valley floor.
A wedding photographer for the Zillertal costs 1,490 euro for a half day, 2,490 for a full day, 3,990 for twelve hours — the same collections we quote everywhere in Austria, plus VAT and the travel figure for the valley. Photography and film are two separate people and two separate prices, so a full day booking both is 4,980 euro together.
The drive from Salzburg to the Zillertal is a genuinely odd one on a map: it crosses into Germany on the A8 through Bavaria before re-entering Austria near Kufstein and picking up the A12 Inntal Autobahn to the valley — it is shorter than trying to stay inside Austria the whole way. Once you are in the valley itself, quite a few of the ceremonies and receptions we shoot are up at mountain huts (Almhütten) reached by cable car or a walking track rather than by road, which changes the whole day's logistics: gear has to go up with you, and there needs to be a plan for weather at altitude that would not matter at a valley-floor venue.

Weddings in Zillertal
The Zillertal is where Tracht and Dirndl are worn without irony, not as a costume choice — it is genuinely still what people wear to a wedding here. A meaningful share of the weddings we shoot in the valley take place up at an Alm, reached by cable car or on foot, with the reception either at the same hut or back down in a village like Mayrhofen or Fügen; huts have a short operating season, so a wedding date there is tied to when the cable car and the hut itself are actually open, not just to what the weather looks like.
